there really are differences

last sunday, i went into two different sermons. woww!! two??? hoho.. i know it sounds freak. it was just a coincidence, fyi, not even a plan visiting those two churches. the idea was only going to church (A) - accompanied by an old friend of mine (since he's congregated there). but afterward, he offered taking me into the other church (B). i did say no immediately, told him it would be fine if we didn't go there * i was thinking one sermon is enough, right?* anyway, we went to both places!

i knew *roughly* what does A 'look' like (which means i had presupositions what will i hear and experience there), and in fact i also know *better* what does B look either. so i sat there -on both benches- for about 2 hours each, waiting until the sermon's done.

*earlier, when we decided to to go to B, i trully had set in mind, i will just being a neutral congregate (coz i know as people will compare two kind of this thing.. not mentioning there were only 3 hours differences to 'make a stand') not to criticise any of them. in fact, (i guess) i did that. i heard both the sermons fully, made notes in my mind, sang the songs, acted like one*

when it was over.. you know what.. ???
i could only come up with one word, DIFFERENT!
yes.. there are differences !

i really have to admit that the sermon on B was much more better ! (perhaps i should put stress on this, that the sermon on A was also great. certainly there were some good messages delivered into us) but.. there are differences between them, so-called qualitative differences, that i could not avoid

then later on, i was thinking.. yes, there is no such an exact SAME sermons. actually, i had those thoughts long ago, but somehow i might put them behind. It's fresh all over again now !

so..
for those of you, when you think there is always similarity among sermons..

for those of you, when you always say, “every sermon is the same”
im telling you now, “Negative!! There are differences!

And if you keep repeating those 'general' notions again, there are only two possibilities left:

1. You don’t know what IT is, indeed
2. You are just compromising
