sun-day day

yesterday, i had planned to attend my church’s 10am congregation (since i was quite sure i wont be able to join the very morning one, 07am) *:D*

so here was the chronicles..
0900, i woke up (exactly) as my alarm’s ringing
0905, do this - do that - do those - do these..
0930, i left home, drove away to church..
1005, arrived at the site.. tried finding a parking space
1010, in the building..
1020, got lost.. where’s the venue? could not find it!!
1021, aaahhh.. they might use the level 2’s room (called Cathedral Messiah)..
1025, found it ! yes, the service was held in CM! ahh, i saw him.. my pastor !
1026, sat on the chair.. started hearing the pastor
1028, the pastor still talked about the christmas service *good then.. the message has not been started yet*

then, 2 minutes later..

HAH? WHAT?* HE MUST BE KIDDING!!

last monday, (let’s say) my ex-coworker, h.u.p., visited me here.
not because of visiting me on purpose, of course *haha*..
he just happened having short courses related to the conference/seminars held here.

we made a promise *halah.. kayak apa aja.. * to meet at ntu at 0900.
but you know, as usual, i was late.. *hihi*
when i phoned him to ask ‘where’ he was, he said he already on the way to the class, with his friend.
*ughhh.. why didn’t you tell me before..
so i could spent more time on bed.. :D *

the afternoon, after he finished with all the courses, i picked him up and we walked along ntu as having ‘conversations’.
we ‘attacked’ each other’s almameters
me: iya nih, kalo di sini, harus bla bla bla dulu.. baru ntar bla bla bla..
him: ow, kalo saya dulu di sono, ble ble ble.. jadi gak harus ble ble ble
. . .
iya, tapi tempat sy lumayan lahh.. bla bla bla.. ada ini ada itu.. bla bla bla
iya sih, saya di sono sih cuma ble ble ble.. kira2 seukuran ini lah [showing hand-gesture]

second, i showed him my cubicle. then we took a light conversation there..
talking about research.. people.. culture.. jobs.. etc..etc..
then he said, “yuk, saya fotoin kamu lagi duduk di depan meja yah.. biar ada buktinya..”
“ahhhh.. jangann *jangan ragu2 ngambil foto-nya yah* ah kl sendirian.... berdua aja gimana..”
“ok ok.. bentar saya set dulu timernya”

then we moved on, since he still wanted to ‘have a look’ (take a pic, maybe.. haha) onto other part of ntu. so then, i showed him some place where he could have it, hihi.. then i brought him for dinner at the nearby shopping mall.

we had MOS Burger for dinner, since he never tried it before. we tried the same new-menu, but i guess it was not as tasty as the usual one. i had a feeling, he might won’t eat there again.. hihi..
then we just walked around the mall, before we separated in the mrt station.

me i no go suffer ?

here's a 'frightening' fact about christianity yet to be thanked..
are we ready for this ?

Me I No Go Suffer

"..for it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for Him.." (Philippians 1:29, NIV)

There is a popular chorus in pidgin English in my part of the world that goes thus: "Me I no go suffer, I no go beg for bread. God of miracle, na my Papa o. God of miracle, na my papa o".
The literal meaning in the conventional English is, "I will not suffer; I will notbeg for bread. God of miracle is my Father. God of miracle is my Father"

The song is a positive confession of who a Christian is in the Lord and what would happen to him. However, the song is partly one of such false hopes that make many Christians to lose the essence of being a Christian.

The Bible in many places teaches about the Christian suffering. Consider these verses:
"I have told you this so that you will have peace by being united tome. The world will make you suffer. But be brave! I have defeated the world!"
(John 16:33, TEV)

"In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus willbe persecuted"
(2 Timothy 3:12, NIV)

"For even when we were with you, [you know] we warned you plainly beforehand that we were to be pressed with difficulties and made to suffer affliction, just as to your own knowledge it has [since] happened"
(1 Thessalonians 3:4, AMP).

"I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death"
(Philippians 3:10, NIV).

"Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you aresuffering, as though something strange were happening to you"
(1 Peter4:12, NIV).

Nevertheless, this suffering is not suffering for wrong doing, but suffering for being a Christian (see 1 Peter 4:12-16; Philippians1:29), and it is certain that the Lord will see the Christian through the suffering and make him/her come out of it like a purified gold
(see Psalm 23:4; 66:10; Zechariah 13:9; Malachi 3:3; 1 Peter 4:12-13).

The implication of this, is that, the Christian should be prepared for suffering all the time. However, he should "not lose heart. [Because] outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal"
(2 Corinthians 4:16-18, NIV).

It is indeed good to positively confess that we will not suffer. However, we should always remember that Christian life involves suffering in this world. The good news is that God has given Christian victory over the suffering, and He will be with the Christian to go through the suffering successfully.

this weekend-afternoon, i encounterd a problem in a mini-market:
1. how to distinguish a guava that looked-like a pear and a pear that looked-like a guava?
2. let's say i'd pick a guava.. is it save to eat it with its skin?

well.. then i decided to choose another 'obvious' one, shandong pear! :D

i was sit on the small unit apartment in singapore..
i was packing up, ready to leave singapore..
my auntie rushed me.. hurry.. hurry.. fast.. faster..
i tidied up my bed..
preparing my ticket, passport, etc.
ready for leaving..

but then i realized..
hey... i am in singapore now !!!
hahaha..

so it was a dream tohh..

yesterday, i said some kind of ‘NO’ to my supervisor.. hihi..
it was so so so uncomfortable saying that..
but somehow, i sense, if i didn’t say it, it could cost me a ‘pain in my bottom’ hihi..

the thing is, 2-3days ago, when he asked me to help him, i don’t mind, indeed!
but when he explained the project to me..
o m m.. o m m … o m m ..
then yesterday i decided to say ‘it’ :D

his respond?
he just said, “well.. that’s okey..” (and showing some ‘well.. that’s okey’ sign on his face) *hihi*
honestly, i didnt know (or let's say, worried about) what that ‘okey’ means.. haha..

then, this evening, i’ve just finished the meeting with a whole team..
(there were 5 of us.. which 2 of them, you know what.. already left the team *gubrak dehh*)

and listening to them..

for sure, they knew what they were doing.. and what they are gonna do..
they responded on each other’s comment..

i could follow on what they’re talking about.. i might understood the concept..
but.. heyy.. if i must join the team as the main programmer.. no way.. :p
luckily, he intended to hire another programmer..

It looks quite simple, but the truth is...

When Mori met Clinton, he mistakenly said, "who are you?" (instead of 'How are you?')
Mr. Clinton was a bit shocked, but still managed to react with humor, "Well, I'm Hillary's husband, ha-ha..."
Then Mori replied, "me too, ha-ha..."
