tonight as common as other usual nite, arrived at home, in rush manner i went to dining table, with excited act of hunger. and guess what???
there was i, stand still with pretty cant-believe-it look at the table.. also there were many tiny-square-sliced tempe, tahu, timun, toge, and daun kuchai (i guess).. *grasp*
but there was something better near those foods, (just) a plate of spicy steam salty-fish. plus the rice, of course.
omm.. are they gonna be my dinner?
my mum asked me, “do you want me to make the nasi lengko?”
then i remembered – yeahh – it’s usually called nasi lengko.. a famous cirebon cuisine, made of those traditional ‘ingredients’ with an additional ‘flush’ of sweet ketchup & sambal.
”ok, mum.. but dont put too much rice on my plate, please”, with on-diet tone because i quite-hate that lengko.
she mixed those foods patiently in about 1-2 minutes, *when she’s done, i must admit, it looked attractive* then she left the plate on the table.
. . .
*eating time*
. . .
geeezzzzz.... i never thought that, that home-made nasi lengko could be so yummy !!
”mum, could you make me another plate, please”
*haha.. it’s true.. i had it twice*
thanks, mum!!! it was delicious!!
